Feb 2023: Jeetain presented group's research in the 'Liquid, soft, alive: identifying the biological questions in the physics of cells' workshop that took place in Lausanne, Switzerland. 

Feb 2023: Jeetain gave an invited research talk titled 'Molecular organization in biology: What can computer simulations teach us?' in the Dartmouth College, New Hampshire

Feb 2023: Jeetain gave an invited research talk in the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany. 

Jan 2023: Jeetain attended the 'Designing soft matter in and out of equilibrium' workshop in Leiden, Netherlands and gave an invited talk on programming the assembly of multiflavored DNA-functionalized nanoparticles.

Sep 2022: Jeetain presented a lecture and a practical workshop on how to model protein phase separation in the 'Algorithms in Structural Bioinformatics school on Intrinsic Disorder in Proteins' in Corsica, France.

Sep 2022: Dr. Gregory Dignon (group alumnus) starts as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Rutgers University, NJ. Congratulations, Prof. Dignon!!

 

Sep 2022: Azamat, Nina, and Tien's work on predicting the helical propensities of intrinsically disordered proteins using a newly developed coarse-grained model now appears in the Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling (JCIM). Congratulations All!!

 

Aug 2022: Dr. Beata Szała-Mendyk, a new postdoc, joins the group. Welcome Beata!!

 

Jul 2022: Runfang's work on compositional order and self-assembly pathways in binary colloidal mixtures is now published in JACS Au. Congratulations Runfang!! This work was done in collaboration with Prof. Ali Mesbah's group at University of California, Berkeley, CA. 

Jul 2022: Qizan, Jiahui, and Beth attended the ACS colloid and surface science symposium in Golden, CO.

Jul 2022: A perspective article on multidomain protein phase separation written by the postdocs (Priyesh, Utkarsh, Dinesh, and Tien) and Ph.D. student (Azamat) now appears in Biochemistry. Congratulations All!!

Feb 2022: Azamat, Shiv, Tien, and Dinesh presented their research at the Biophysical Society (BPS) conference in San Francisco, CA.

Jan 2022: Kandarp and Jiahui successfully passed their Ph.D. qualifying examination. They both also won the qualifying examination excellence award for demonstrating a strong grasp of ChemE fundamentals and excellent analytical skills. Congratulations, Kandarp and Jiahui!!

Jan 2022: A cross-team collaborative work (Texas A&M University, University of Texas at Austin, Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Brown University, and LUT University) looking at kinetic trapping in condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) protein is now published in Advanced Science. Roshan from the group contributed to this work. Congratulations Roshan!!

Nov 2021: Runfang Mao successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis. Congratulations Runfang!!

Aug 2021: Our group has moved to Texas A&M to continue doing cool science.
